Mary Graham
Mary Graham is a Philadelphia born performance artist and painter. She currently attends California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Her work explores our collective lineage and ancestry, as well as the essential human truths; death, memory, the body, where one comes from, and where one goes.
Since she was a child, she has always loved portraiture, having grown up surrounded by the portraiture of her father, artist Lonnie Graham, and his ongoing piece “A Conversation With The World.”
Displayed at Perch is her award winning portrait series “Portraits of the Ancestors” depicting Graham’s relatives and ancestors, each oil on copper. Graham is open to doing commissions for portraits, in oil, acrylic and graphite. (photo by Norma I. Quintana)
